Fagor Artic 2000 Manual
Need more info. Generally, Hoshi freezers have 2 sensors and a limit in the evap compartment. One sensor is for conditioned space temp, one is for evap temp, and limit if for the heater. Basically, while in defrost, the controller monitors the evap temp, and when it reaches approx.

70 degrees, the defrost should terminate. The limit kills power to the heater should it get too hot prior to defrost termination. I would first check to see if heater is getting power, if not, check the limit as they go bad frequently. If it is getting power but the defrost termination is happening too early, I would replace the probes first as it is the cheaper route and even if the controller is bad, I would not replace it without doing the probes too.
The safety in the controller is usually set for if the unit does not terminate defrost on temp, it will terminate on time, usually 1 hour set at factory specs. Let me know if you need any further help. Answered on Aug 13, 2018 75 views. Sorry I don't have a solution for you, however would like to know if you found out what was wrong. I have an identical problem with my Beko fridge/freezer. It's only 14 months old and the freezer just wont freeze. I've turn it off for 24 hour and let it defrost completely (even had the panel off to make sure there was no ice left).

I've turned it back on again and it still wont freeze. Everything seems ok, ie fan blowing, motor running etc. I really am beginning to regret buying Beko. Thanks Answered on Jul 12, 2018 1,392 views.
No rule of thumb maybe if you got a different thermostat that has a lower setting than standard however as upright freezers are very bad freezers compared to chest type freezers the lowest reading will be around the -35 degrees C Why very bad - every time you open the door you dump 20 degrees out onto the floor and the temp difference is more pronounced than opening the lid of a chest unit which keeps all of the cold in the unit remember the colder the setting the more the compressor is working Answered on Jul 08, 2018 151 views.
